Starting with the first issue of 2005, the Journal will be published by Palgrave Macmillan, a distinguished UK-US publisher of small journals. This not-for-profit corporation (JPHP, Inc.) will continue its work in research and education in the field of public health policy, but will no longer be the publisher of this Journal.

History and Mission
To provide a medium for publication of scholarly articles on the epidemiologic and social foundations of public health policy; to present the results of research bearing on such policy; to evaluate administrative experience in the implementation of specific public health policies and programs; and to help make more effective the services provided by health departments, other health agencies, and public health workers in protecting and improving the health of the public.

Instructions to Authors
Information for Contributors
The Journal welcomes unsolicited original scientific and policy contributions on all public health topics. No submission should exceed 4000 words of text, unless it has been discussed with the Editors in advance. Preference will always be given to shorter pieces. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to jphp@umb.edu, in Microsoft Word or other common word processing software format. We will promptly acknowledge to the author the receipt of each manuscript, assigning a manuscript number for use in future correspondence.
Commentaries, book reviews, and other feature articles will, in general, be solicited by the Editors. We do, however, welcome written or telephone inquiries about material that might be appropriate for the Journal.
For citations and abbreviations, we encourage authors to follow the widely accepted Uniform Requirements , which can be found at http://www.icmje.org/ Before final acceptance, all manuscripts must meet all the Uniform Requirements, including disclosure of any interests that might possibly constitute a conflict.
An offprint order form and prices will be furnished with the page proofs.
