Instructions to Authors
Types of papers accepted for publication
|
The Brazilian Journal of Animal Science publishes the following types of manuscripts:

Elements of the main body of the text: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion; Abstract should be provided in both English and Portuguese.
Case or Field Report. Relates particularly to medical areas in which an immediate report is more important than a full treatment of the subject, or publications in which the results are not planned. Elements of the main text: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion and Conclusions (when applied). If text is in Portuguese, an Abstract in English should be provided and vice-versa.
Short Communication. This is a brief report of partial results of experimental work, worthy for publication, although insufficient or too inconsistent to constitute a scientific article. Surveys of data (occurrence, diagnosis, etc.) also fit in here. It must be concise with a maximum of four printed pages, without the distinct headings of formal papers, but following the same order. |
