About the journal

Ekonomicky casopis/Journal of Economics brings out articles, discussion contributions and analytical studies from the field of economic theory, economic policy and theory and result of socio-economic forecasting, of monetary theory and policy, corporate management, banking, mathematical economics, cross-sectoral and industrial economies, as well as of regional and social development. It deals with the issues of the world economy and the process of globalilzation, the history of economic thought and national economy. It brings profiles of influential Slovak and foreign economists, reviews of theoretical studies and reports from the scientific life.

Instructions to Authors
Note to contributors
Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editorial Office of Journal of Economics, Šancov?nbsp;56, 811 05 Bratislava 1; e-mail address: ekoncaso@savba.sk.
Articles are published in the Slovak, Czech or English language; should have theoretical character considering the spirit of the Journal, the title is supposed to be concise and eloquent.
We require to enclose a short abstract (8 - 10 lines) in the English language (not a resume), key words and JEL Classification as well. (See web sites

The papers should be submitted in printed form in 3 copies (typed in a current Norm: 60 strokes per line, max. 30 lines per page) along with diskette; or in electronic form (e-mail) in text editor Microsoft Word, 12-point font (Times New Roman recommended), 1.5 spacing.
We prefer articles that do not exceed app. 15 pages, 3 - 5 pages for book reviews, 1 - 2 pages for informative reviews, 3 - 5 pages for notes and reports. Footnotes (gathered at the end of the page) should be numbered in the main text consecutively as well as the illustrations, Tables, Graphs and Schemes. Graphs should not be placed in the main text but in a separate diskette file, preferably prepared in Excel, data basis included. Any cited references should be stated in the text body or as a footnote marked by particular consecutive number in square brackets. A list of references, with complete bibliographic information, arranged alphabetically by author should also be included at the end of the manuscript. Mathematical terms and schemes should be typed clearly, following the usual standards.
Received manuscripts are refereed by 2 referees and the author will be notified whether the article has been accepted by Executive Board for publication or not.
Authors are requested to indicate their exact title, name, affiliation and address, telephone number, e-mail address. Contribution is non-salaried.
Articles, not accepted for publishing, will be returned upon request.
