About the journal
Published since its inception in 1935 by Duke University Press, the Duke Mathematical Journal is one of the world's leading mathematical journals. Of the more than 600 mathematics journals published worldwide, only 214 reach the level of impact required to be included in the rankings of the Institute for Scientific Information. Among these, DMJ is ranked at 10, with an impact factor of 1.494 and a cited half-life of >10, the highest score given in this category.
Instructions to Authors
Submission of a paper acknowledges that the paper is original and is not submitted elsewhere. Standard copyright assignments must be made by authors. DMJ encourages authors to submit papers in LaTeX, the version of TeX most expeditiously handled in production, but other versions of TeX are also acceptable. TeX papers should be e-mailed to dmj@math.unc.edu. All other papers should be submitted to the Managing Editor at the Chapel Hill address below.
Authors are asked to include an abstract of no more than 300 words and a 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification number. Authors of accepted papers will be given directions for assisting in copy and figure preparation. There are no page charges. Each author will receive 45 offprints.
