The purpose of Biochemistry is to publish the results of original research that contribute significantly to the understanding of the mechanism of biological phenomena in terms of molecular structure and/or function. Biochemistry investigates the rapidly changing arena where chemistry, biochemistry and molecular and cell biology interrelate.
Biochemistry, a weekly journal, publishes approximately 17,000 pages a year covering such topics as structure, function, and regulation of biologically active molecules, gene structure and expression, biochemical mechanisms, protein biosynthesis, protein folding, membrane structure-function relationships, bioenergetics, and immunochemistry.

Note: Biochemistry has no page charges and does not charge for approved color illustrations.
Authors are encouraged to use the Biochemistry Document Templates for preparing manuscripts for submission as well as for preparing final, accepted manuscripts.
