About the journal
 IIC provides access to extensive information and documentary material concerning international developments and judicial practice in the fields of:
- patent, copyright, design and trade mark law,
- restraints of competition and unfair competition law, with particular emphasis on decisions of the EC Commission and the European Court of Justice,
- case law and practice of the European Patent Office in Munich,
- articles covering international legislation and case law as well as comparative studies of law,
- EC harmonisation of European laws, including publication of EC Proposals, Directives and Regulations.
IIC reports on legislative proposals, international conventions and the harmonisation of laws in the European Union and other groups of nations.
IIC is one of the most renowned and respected academic journals in the field. It has been published since 1970 by the leading research institute in intellectual property law, the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law. The founding editors included Eugen Ulmer, Friedrich-Karl Beier and Gerhard Schricker. The current editors William R. Cornish, Joseph Drexl, Reto M. Hilty and Jochen Pagenberg are assisted by an international advisory board, worldwide correspondents and a scholarly staff.
