About the journal
 The Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans (Journal of Economics Business and Finance) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published monthly.
Published articles are indexed in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), JEL and EconLit published by AEA (American Economic Association), "Economics and Finance Directory" of CABELL Publishing, and database of CBRT (Central Bank of Republic of Turkey).

Publication Guidelines and Instructions to Contributors
- The Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans (Journal of Economics Business and Finance) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published monthly.
- All manuscripts proposed to the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans should not be previously published and submitted for publication elsewhere.
- All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans is sent to the referees after the initial review of the editorial board with respect to formatting and content.
- According to the reviews sent by the referees; manuscripts may be accepted for publication, or corrections, abbreviations and additional notes may be requested, or manuscripts may be rejected. The author (s) will be notified in regards to all these decisions .
- The total length of any manuscript submitted should not exceed 25 pages (A4) including figures and tables and should be typed in 1.5 spacing. The font size should be 12 (typewritten using Ariel or Times New Roman fonts only) and Turkish fonts should be used if the manuscript is in Turkish. The papers which are not conformable with the conditions concerning the formatting will immediately be returned back to the author(s) without sending them to the referees.
- From May 1st, 2009 onwards, manuscript submissions should be done using Online Manuscript Submission System which was integrated into "www.iif.com.tr". Please visit "www.iif.com.tr" for more information. Footnotes, figures and tables should be placed as mush as possible within the page in which they are referred or within the following page. The notes below the figures or tables should be aimed to make these materials understandable without returning to the main text.
- Manuscripts written in Turkish should contain an English abstract (Abstract) with an English title and a Turkish abstract (Özet) with a Turkish title. The abstracts should concisely present the aim or the purpose of the study, the methodology, the results, and the conclusion remarks. Keywords should be stated both in English and in Turkish. The abstracts must not contain abbreviations or acronyms.
- Submitted manuscripts must involve at least one or at most three JEL code (Journal of Economic Literature) at two digit level (i.e., Q11). For the JEL codes which should be chosen according to the subject of the manuscript, the JEL list given in the web address of http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html can be used.
- All manuscripts must be submitted in accordance with the style of writing specified in the book of "The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th edition), 2001" which was published by the American Psychological Association (APA) Usually, this material is easily accessible in most of the university libraries and it does contain lots of examples for the text references and writing styles.
- In-text citations, the author's last name and the year of publication (and page if necessary) for the source should appear in the text. For example: Çetinoğlu (2002)...; Çetin (2002, p. 182)...; Eliçin (2001, pp. 182-186)...; According to Özer and Birkan (2000)...; Following Birtan (2007)...; Özer and Birkan (2004) argue that...; Özkul, Biran and Akın (2004). In accordance with the APA format, when there are 3-5 authors in the cited source, list all surnames the first time you cite in-text: Özkul, Uzun, Güzel, Özer and Soysal (1992, pp. 154-198). Afterwards, cite only the surname of the first author followed by "et al.": Özkul et al. (1992, pp. 154-198). When there are six or more authors, cite only the surname of the first author followed by "et al." and the year for the first and subsequent citations: Özkul et al. (2005, pp. 154-198). For multiple references, list the citations in alphabetical order and separate them with semicolons. For example: ... (Bozok, 2000; Mert, 2004; Özer et al., 1996; Vahitoğlu, Gürler and Özdağ, 2007).
- Articles written in Turkish must contain an "Extensive English Summary" apart from the English abstract. This section should start in a new page just after the "References" and its length must be 4-5 pages (A4) in double spacing. First page should be entitled "Extensive Summary". Just below it, the title of the manuscript and the names of the authors with their affiliations should be written in English. The postal address of the correspondent author should be given in the footnote in Turkish with the expression of "Address for Correspondence". In the same footnote, the e-mail address of the correspondent author should also be provided using the statement of "E-mail address" The Extensive English Summary must contain the following subtitles: Introduction, Method, Results and Conclusion. One must not add other subtitles into this extensive summary. This section should be written clearly to emphasize the main points of the manuscript. Extensive Summary is not required for the articles written in English. Nota Bene: Extensive English Summary will not affect the page number of the main manuscript.
- When quoting a source, one must follow each quotation with a citation of the page number. In-text citation requires using "p." or "pp." notation in order to give page information.
- The responsibility of the articles published in the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans belongs to the author.
- In the manuscripts, the orthography and writing rules of Turkish Language Association (TDK) should be followed. For detailed information, please go to the web site of TDK: www.tdk.gov.tr. Instead of foreign words, usage of Turkish words should be preferred. In case of using new or unfamiliar Turkish words, the English equivalent can be provided in parenthesis in the first occurrence.
- In the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans; apart from the original manuscripts, translations are also occasionally published. In this situation, the original of the translated paper together with the permission of their authors and the journal in which it was published must be provided alongside the manuscript.
- Normally Turkish manuscripts are published in the journal. However, if the Advisory Board accepts, manuscripts written in English can also be published in the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans.
- Copyright (printed or electronic) belongs to the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans upon acceptance of the manuscript.
- The handling fee for the submission of each paper to the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans is 300 TL ( 195.5 USD - 139.18 EUR ) (including Ad-valorem tax). Payments should be transferred to the bank accounts of Bilgesel Yayincilik San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. Company. - The handling fees and the manuscripts sent to the Journal of İktisat İşletme ve Finans will not be returned whether the paper is published or not.
