Peer Review Policy: All research articles published in Paedagogica Historica have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereering by at least three anonymous referees.

Articles, in either English, German or French should be submitted to the Editors via email at: PHadmin@contacts.bham.ac.uk
A separate cover page should include the title of the article, the name of the author(s) and an institutional affiliation.
The article should not exceed 7000 words in length and should be accompanied by an English summary (of up to a maximum 1200 words and biographical note (of approximately 150 words) together with the full postal and e-mail address, telephone number of the author, and in particular, the name of the person who is to receive correspondence, proofs and offprints.
The submission of a manuscript to the journal implies that it has not been submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere.
Authors are asked to submit their manuscripts (both initial submissions and final accepted versions) as a Word document attached to an email to the Editor. The text should be double-spaced, preferably in 12-point size. Paragraphs should be indicated clearly. All pages should be numbered. Tables and figures should be in a separate file, with a clear indication in the text to show where they go.
Tables, diagrams, charts, illustrations and/or tables should be submitted on a separate piece of paper, clearly marked and referenced, with short descriptive titles. Additional information (such as legends) should be noted at the bottom of the page. Their placement in the text should be clearly marked. Black and white images or copies of photographs are permitted, provided that permission from the copyright owner has been obtained in advance by the author.
Footnotes should be used sparingly and listed on a separate page entitled "Notes" at the end of the paper. Footnotes should be cited in the text by super-scribed, consecutive numbers.
Style guidelines Description of the Journal's article style Description of the Journal's reference style, Quick guide UK spelling (e.g. colour, organise) is preferred. Please use double quotation marks with single within if needed. This journal requires a short paragraph of bibliographical details for all contributors.

Artwork should be supplied in a finished form, suitable for reproduction. Figures will not normally be redrawn by the publisher.
Citations of other work should be limited to those strictly necessary for the argument. Any quotations should be brief, and accompanied by precise references.
Titles of journals and names of publishers, etc. should not be abbreviated. Acronyms for the names of organisations, examinations, etc. should be preceded by the title in full.
We strongly encourage you to send the final, revised version of your article, electronically, by email. More help and guidelines on submitting articles already accepted for publication. Please note that this information applies only to authors whose articles have been reviewed, revised, and accepted for publication.
Proofs are sent to each author if there is sufficient time to do so. The Editors ask that corrected proofs are returned within 48 hours of receipt. Substantial changes to articles at proof stage are not permitted.
Free article access: Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink?and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink?when proofs are received.
