The Journal encourages the submission of unsolicited manuscripts regarding current topics in international economic law. The Journal does not publish unsolicited articles by authors currently enrolled in law school, except by those studying for an advance degree.
To expedite the editorial process and to facilitate uniformity of presentation, authors are requested to prepare their submissions in accordance with the conventions outlined below, and to send two copies to the
Editor-in-Chief University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Economic Law 3400 Chestnut Street Philadelphia , PA 19104-6204 U.S.A.
Manuscripts The language of publication is English. Authors are requested to provide two typed or word-processed double-spaced manuscripts with one-inch margins. Text should appear on one side of the paper and all pages should be numbered consecutively. The title, author's full name, and author's address should appear on the first page. Authors are requested to conform to The Chicago Manual of Style (14th ed. 1993). It is Journal policy that all articles be gender neutral. All unpublished manuscripts are the property of the Journal and will not be returned to the author.
Abstracts Authors are requested to include with their submissions a brief abstract summarizing their article. Authors accepting offers of publication with the Journal will be required to prepare and submit such an abstract.
References and Footnotes Complete bibliographical information, including dates, should be provided for all works referred to in the text. Footnotes should be double-spaced and numbered consecutively. They should, as much as possible, be limited to citation material. Citations must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (16th ed. 1997). Because all citations must be verifiable by the editors, all sources must be readily available in the United States or must be sent by the author upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication.

Tables and Graphics Tables, diagrams, drawings, graphs, and other illustrations must be reproducible originals. They should be presented on separate sheets in a large size. Each table and graphic should have an Arabic number, a caption and an indication of where it should appear in the text. Authors are requested to refer to tables and graphics by number.
Acceptance If an offer of publication is extended, the author will be requested to submit the article in electronic form, preferably in Microsoft Word format. Authors should contact the Editor-in-Chief at the above address or at (215) 898-6869 with any questions.
