The journal rises to the challenge of bringing theory and method closer to public health efforts. It reflects the healthy multidisciplinarity that has become characteristic of public health globally in recent years. The journal echoes today's challenges within public health as we face new and re-emerging diseases, changes in demography and the responses of health services to changing patterns of disease.
