The Scandinavian Journal of Economics is one of the oldest and most distinguished economics journals in the world. It publishes research of the highest scientific quality from an international array of contributors in all areas of economics and related fields. The journal features:

Instructions to Authors
The Scandinavian Journal of Economics invites manuscripts from an international array of contributors in all areas of economics.
1. Manuscripts submitted to the Editor should be in English. Two paper copies are requested (address see below). A pdf version should simultaneously be sent (as an attachment) to scanjourneco@ne.su.se. Articles should be no longer than 20 printed pages (approximately 25 double-spaced typewritten pages, including references, figures and tables). An abstract not exceeding 100 words should also be enclosed.
2. References to articles and books (including the first names of all authors cited) should be listed at the end of the article; references in the text to this list should be made by year (in parenthesis).
3. Footnotes and formulas should be numbered consecutively throughout the text and acknowledgements denoted by an asterisk.
4. Figures should be suitable for direct photographic reproduction and labelled. Supplementary explanations of mathematical methods and statistical tests which, although not intended for publication, could facilitate the referees' work, should be enclosed.
5. The proofs should be carefully checked by the author and returned within a week. The publisher reserves the right to charge for alterations made at the proof stage.
6. The authors of articles receive an electronic offprint free of charge. An Order Form is provided for orders for additional copies of the journal.
7. Manuscripts submitted to the editorial office should be accompanied by a submission fee of SEK 500, USD 60 or EUR 55, payable by normal transfer or electronically to The Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
(i) Nordic submissions: Please remit in SEK to Swedish postal giro account no. 15.54 51-8; (ii) Non-Nordic submissions: Please remit by Eurogiro or SWIFT (PGSI SESS) to International Bank Account Number (IBAN) SE85 9500 0099 6034 0155 4518 with Nordea Bank (Stockholm). Bank (but not personal) cheques drawn on a Swedish bank are also accepted.

9. The Author must complete a Copyright Assignment Form. Authors will be required to assign copyright in their paper to Foreningen for utgivande av SJE. Copyright assignment is a condition of publication and papers will not be passed to the publisher for production unless copyright has been assigned. To assist authors an appropriate copyright assignment form will be supplied by the editorial office. Alternatively, authors may like to download a copy of the form here http://www.blackwellpublishing.com/pdf/sjoe_caf.pdf (Government employees need to complete the Author Warranty sections, although copyright in such cases does not need to be assigned. )
