arcadia publishes articles in German, English and French on topics that extend beyond the literature of individual nations or ethnic groups. Especially welcome are articles in which the intercultural and interdisciplinary relationships of literature are in the foreground. Manuscripts submitted to the editors should include a hard copy as well as an electronic version (in WordPerfect or MS-Word on an IBM-formatted floppy disk).
Two citation methods may be used:
1. Citations in footnotes, whereby complete bibliographical information for the work cited is provided in the first citation to that work;
2. MLA: Citations within the main body, with the author(s) name(s), brief title of the work and the page number(s) in parentheses immediately following the citation; a limited number of footnotes that include information other than mere literature references; a "list of cited works" with complete bibliographical information at the end of the article. A detailed style sheet is available from the editorial department.
If you would like your submitted manuscript to be returned to you, please be sure to include an international coupon for the return postage. arcadia is not able to return submitted manuscripts, especially those sent from abroad, without an international coupon.
Each author will receive one complimentary copy of the journal issue.
If you would like to request a review copy, please contact the editorial department. The editorial department cannot guarantee that a review will be published; unsolicited submissions will be returned. Each reviewer is responsible for the scientific content of his/her contribution; objections to the outcome of reviews will not be considered.
