It promotes the interaction between different cultures and life styles. It provides the latest trends in research. Established since 1970, it contains valuable material for sociologists, anthropologists, family counselors, and social psychologists. The journal is an important source for promoting a better understanding of inter ethnic family interaction that is essential for all multicultural societies. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed articles and research notes as well as book reviews. Instructions to Authors The Journal of Comparative Family Studies was established to publish high quality research in cross cultural family studies. It promotes a better understanding of inter-ethnic family interaction that is essential for all multicultural societies.  We accept only unpublished work and which is presently not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are evaluated by the editors and other referees.  The Author(s) should make every attempt to see that the manuscript itself contains no signs to their identity. The journal has the copyright for all the articles published.   Preparation of copy . ¡ì Attach a covering letter that include the authors  postal address, telephone number and email address for future correspondence. ¡ì Submit one copy electronically (as an attachment) to jcfs@ucalgary.ca and one hard copy to the journal office and retain a copy for your own files. ¡ì The manuscript should be neatly prepared, typed (Microsoft word, 12-point font) on white standard paper (81/2 x 11 inches). ¡ì Include a title page. All manuscripts should also include an abstract (120-180 words) typed on a separate page. ¡ì Manuscripts are approximately about 20-30 pages, double spaced, one-sided that includes title page, abstract, text, references, tables, figures, and any other appendices. ¡ì Type each table or figure on a separate page. Indicate a location note, i.e., "Table 2 about here," "Figure 1 about here," at the appropriate place in the text. ¡ì All notes (correctly numbered) must be as endnotes at the back of the paper on a separate page.     REFERENCE: Each listed reference should be cited in the text and vice versa. Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) reference style guide. For information on APA Editorial Style, please go to www.apastyle.org. Format of References in Text:All references to articles etc. are to be identified at an appropriate point in the text by last name of author, year of publication. The following examples illustrate the style: "™Ëof children (Yin & Casey, 1983)," or "Lewin (2006) and Stake et al. (2005) . . . .Multiple references should be cited in alphabetical order.
