Instructions to Authors
Manuscripts must be submitted for review via the Journal of Aging and Health SAGETRACK website at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jah. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the 5th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Double space all manuscripts, including references, notes, abstracts, quotations, and tables, on 8 1/2 × 11 paper. The title page should be a separate document and include all authors’ names and affiliations and highest professional degrees, the corresponding author’s address and telephone number, and a brief running headline. Place acknowledgments in a separate document under the heading AUTHOR’S NOTE. The title page should be followed by a structured abstract of 100 to 150 words that includes the following subheadings: Objectives, Methods, Results, and Discussion. On the abstract page include 3 to 5 words or short phrases for indexing purposes. The abstract page as well as the first page of the text should include the manuscript’s title without the authors’ names to facilitate blind review. Tables and references should follow APA style and be double-spaced throughout. Ordinarily manuscripts will not exceed 30 pages (double-spaced), including tables, figures, and references. Authors of accepted manuscripts will be asked to supply camera-ready figures. Submission of a manuscript implies commitment to publish in the journal. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal should not simultaneously submit them to another journal, nor should manuscripts have been published elsewhere in substantially similar form or with substantially similar content. Authors in doubt about what constitutes prior publication should consult the editor.
