About the journal

Conceived as a macroeconomic forecasting journal, Romanian Journal of Economic Forecasting includes studies on the evolution of  and prospects for the transition economies; forecasting models, methods and procedures; forecasting alternatives of future evolution to support the sustainable development of the Romanian economy and a barometer of the evolution of the Romanian economy.


Instructions to Authors

Conceived as a macroeconomic forecasting journal, Romanian Journal of Economic Forecasting includes studies on the evolution of  and prospects for the transition economies; forecasting models, methods and procedures; forecasting alternatives of future evolution to support the sustainable development of the Romanian economy and a barometer of the evolution of the Romanian economy.

Our collaborators are kindly requested to send their papers to comply with the following:

  • The article will be sent both on diskettes and paper (three copies); the article will be accompanied by a letter asking the editors to publish it in the Romanian Journal of Economic Forecasting. In case that the article is not accepted, the manuscript will not be returned; the publishing house will inform the author of the decision;
  • The article will be written in English, accompanied by an abstract of max. 10 lines, key-words and the classification code of Journal of Economic Literature; the article will not exceed 20 pages, including the bibliography and annexes;
  • The article will be processed with the Word Programme, 1.5 line spacing, font 12; the tables and graphs will be prepared with the programmes compatible with Word;
  • The author's name will be accompanied by his scientific titles and contact address (preferably, e-mail); the address will be included as a footnote on the first page of the article;
  • The date of receipt of the article (possibly, the revised form) will occur on the first page of the article;
  • Once published in Romanian Journal of Economic Forecasting, the article shall not be sent in the same form to other publications;
  • The author is kindly requested to specify (if possible) the project to which the topic dealt with in this paper pertains.

Every article will be reviewed by at least two appropriate referees selected by the editorial office. Acceptance or rejection of the paper depends on editorial assessment of its suitability and reports from the referees.
