Los artículos son evaluados rigurosamente por un Comit?Editorial formado por académicos altamente reconocidos. Investigación Económica aparece en diversos índices como Journal of Economic Literate (Econ. Lit), Public Affairs Information Service Inc (PAIS) en el padrón de y Revistas Científicas Mexicanas del Conacyt. Instructions to Authors Guidelines for contributors investigación económica is a peer reviewed scientific journal. By submitting an article, the author agrees not to simultaneously submit  the article  for  consideration  to other publications. The author grants  the  journal  the  rights  to publish  in any medium deemed pertinent whether  in print or electronically. She/he  is also expected  to accept  to advise us  (review) on  two submitted articles. All articles must be unpublished with subject matter in Economics or related social sciences.  We only accept papers in English or Spanish.  It is the author’s responsibility to ensure the quality of the English text. Publishing is subject to the editorial guidelines described below. Failure to meet any of the requirements will result in the work not being reviewed. We cannot return original submissions. All works will be reviewed by members of the editorial committee and by two anonymous judges. Under no circumstances can our decision be appealed. Once a decision has been made, final approval is subject to changes in style, form and content that the editor may have communicated with the author. Authors are responsible for the content of their work and for the correct use of the references they have cited. The journal reserves the right to make changes in accordance to our editorial policy. 1. Including all sections of the manuscript, articles cannot exceed 35 pages in length and will be processed in MS Word. a)  The font will be Times New Roman, size 12. b)  Paper is letter sized. Pages must be double spaced. c)  Do not use indentation. Neither in the text nor in the cited references. d)  The use of italics is reserved for the title of books, journals, scientific names and non-Spanish words. e)  Quotation marks are reserved for the title of journal articles, chapters in books or quotes included in the text. 2. The written text will adhere to these requirements: a)  A Cover page that includes the following items:    Title of the paper in English and Spanish.    Full name of the author(s).    Brief academic and professional resume.    Research specialty.    Home and office address and phone number.    Email address.    Area or place of work. b)  A summary of your paper in English and Spanish between 10 and 15 lines long. c)  Include your classification number for the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL). d)  Include keyworks (in English and Spanish). 3. Tables, graphs and other supporting materials will follow these requirements: a)  Include materials at the end of the text, with clear indication of the page where it should be inserted. b)  Must be  self explanatory  (without  the need  to  refer  to  text). Do not  include abbreviations. Clearly  indicate units of measurement and include full citations. c)  Graphs and other supporting material must be in black and white. d)  Tables must be simple and relevant. e)  Use Excel format. 4.  Bibliographical references will be at end of text. All components will be separated by commas and will be in the following order: a) Books: last name of author(s), first initial, title, city of publication, publisher or institution, year, page number; b) Journals: last name of author(s), first initial, title journal, title article, volume, number, year, page number. Only the titles of journals and books will be in italics. Quotation marks will be used for articles, book chapters, or text from other journals or books. The list of bibliographical references must correspond with citations within the document. 5. Use footnotes sparingly and only to provide essential information. These will be included at the end of the text. 6. Quote citations in the text will follow this format: a)  Quotes: (Last name, date). b)  Quotes from a text: (Last name, date, page number[s]). 7.
