The journal SOCIOLÓGIA is published six times per year; four issues in Slovak (with abstracts in English) and two isues in English (Slovak Sociological Review).
The journal is covered in Sociological Abstract a Current Contents/Social and Behavioural Sciences and indexed by Institute of Scientific Information (ISI), USA.

SLOVAK SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW is published twice in the year - in spring and fall - as the No 3 and No 6 of SOCIOLÓGIA ISSN 0049-1225 (electronic version ISSN 1336-8613). It is published by The Institute for Sociology, the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
SOCIOLÓGIA / SLOVAK SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW is publishing original and anonymously reviewed papers written by sociologists in Slovakia and abroad. It brings information about sociological publication, activities in social sciences, about international conferences and sociological congresses.
It pays special interest to the problems of the civic society, to local communities, sociological problems of enterprises and work, problems of family, youth, social stratification and pathological phenomena. Papers from the history of sociology, sociological theory and methodology, findings of sociological research and public opinion surveys are published too.
The journal is not only for sociologists, but also for the broader public; university and middle-level school students, teachers, cultural, educational and social workers, activists of political parties and civic associations; for all who want to know more about our society.

Manuscripts Submission
The editors require the original and two readable copies, which do not include the author's name and address. The author's name and the complete contact address, as well as the references, which could help his of her identification, should appear on the detachable sheet. Review process is mutually anonymous.
Each manuscript must be accompanied by a 100-word abstract to appear at the beginning of the article.
Manuscript Format
Manuscripts should be typed or computer printed, double-spaced, with 60 columns per line. The length of paper should not normally exceed 25 pages, for research report 10 pages and for reviews and information 7 pages. Unpublished manuscripts are sent back only on author's request.
Editorial decision
Decisions on the acceptability are usually sent to authors within 8 weeks of submission. Authors of accepted manuscript will be asked to submit its final version also on a microcomputer floppy disk, either in Word-Perfect or (ASCII). The final version should also include a twenty-line English abstract, an alphabetized bibliography and basic information about the author.
