Instructions to Authors
Submission of Papers
Manuscript Submission Manuscripts must be submitted through the LEAIND online submission and review Web site: External link http://ees.elsevier.com/leaind. Authors are requested to submit the text, tables, and artwork in electronic form to this address. In an accompanying letter, authors should state that the manuscript, or parts of it, have not been and will not be submitted elsewhere for publication.

Authors who are unable to provide an electronic version or have other circumstances that prevent online submission must contact the Editor, Elena Grigorenko, by email prior to submission to discuss alternate options. The Publisher and Editor regret that they are not able to consider submissions that do not follow these procedures.

The submission of a manuscript to the Journal implies that it has not been published elsewhere and is not undergoing review for possible publication in another form. Author(s) will be asked to transfer the copyright to the Publisher. This transfer will insure the widest possible dissemination of information under the U.S. Copyright Law. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article. Elsevier has pre-printed forms for use by authors in these cases: contact Elsevier, Global Rights Department, e-mail:permissions@elsevier.com

Manuscripts should be prepared in the manner described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (4th edition).
An abstract (150 words or less) should accompany each full length manuscript.
Tables, lists of figure legends and lists of references should be submitted separately.
Arabic numerals should be used to identify tables and figures. The use of footnotes is discouraged.

References
References should be cited by the name(s) of the author(s) followed by the year of publication in parentheses. Multiple references involving identical authors published in the same year should be cited and identified in the list of references with letters, for example, 1994(a), 1994(b). A series of citations within parentheses should be listed in alphabetical order according to the surname of the first author, and not according to year of publication, for example (Abel, 1988; Aronson and Hartman, 1981; Bennett, 1978; Miller, 1981). The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by authors' surnames.

References should appear in the following formats:

Please keep a backup copy of your manuscript for reference and safety.
