About the journal
Since 1983, the Journal of Labor Economics has presented international research that examines issues affecting the economy as well as social and private behavior. The Journal publishes both theoretical and applied research results relating to the U.S. and international data. And its contributors investigate various aspects of labor economics, including supply and demand of labor services, personnel economics, distribution of income, unions and collective bargaining, applied and policy issues in labor economics, and labor markets and demographics.
Frequency: quarterly. Volume 24 begins January 2006. ISSN: 0734-306X. 198 pages/issue.
Instructions to Authors
Send your submissions to the Editor, Journal of Labor Economics, 1155 East 60th Street, Room 252, Chicago, IL 60637. There is no submission fee. Please send your submission in English in the form of one single PDF file that comprises your entire manuscript (title page showing the name and affiliation of all authors, text, tables, and figures) either on a diskette or via e-mail to jole@norc.org.
You will receive acknowledgment of receipt of the manuscript from the editorial office within 1 week. Please allow at least 3 months before expecting an editorial decision. If your paper is accepted for publication, you will be sent more detailed instructions for preparing your manuscript. Please include your email address with your contact information.
