Poised to remain at the forefront of the recent explosive growth in quality scholarship in the field of Black studies, the Journal of Black Studies is published six times per year. This means a greater number of important and intellectually provocative articles exploring key issues facing African Americans and Blacks can now be given voice. In-Depth Coverage The scholarship inside Journal of Black Studies covers a wide range of subject areas, including: Society * Social Issues * Afrocentricity * Economics * Culture * Media * Literature * Language * Heritage * Biology Instructions to Authors MANUSCRIPTS should be submitted in duplicate (one hard copy & one disk copy) to Editor, Molefi K. Asante, at the Department of African American Studies, Temple University, Gladfelter Hall, Philadelphia, PA 19122, masante@temple.edu. A copy of the final revised manuscript saved on an IBM compatible disk must be included with the final revised copy. Disks will not be returned to the author once they are accepted for publication. Articles should be no more than 25 typewritten double-spaced pages with footnotes, references, tables, and charts also double-spaced and on separate page, footnotes, and bibliographic citations should follow APA (Fifth Ed.) style. All submissions must include an abstract and a list of key words. Stylesheets are available from the editor upon request. A brief paragraph describing each author's current affiliation, research interests, and recent publications should accompany the manuscript. Please allow 4-6 months for review of all submitted articles.
