About the journal
About AONS
Asian Oncology Nursing Society (AONS) was established in 2013. AONS is a young and vibrant society. It aims to contribute to cancer nursing in the Asian region through leadership development, promoting evidence-based practice, and collaborative efforts to advance clinical practice, education and research. So far, AONS has nine associations as full members from various parts of Asia (China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand), and it welcomes other oncology nursing societies from Asia to join our family as full members. Oncology nurse and others interested in the purposes of the Society are also most welcome to join as individual members.
About APJON
Asia-Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing (APJON, ISSN 2347-5625, eISSN 2349-6673) is the official journal of AONS. APJON is a Bimonthly issue which addresses different spectrums in relation to oncology nursing for cancer patients--prevention, screening and early detection, geriatric and pediatric cancer nursing, medical and surgical oncology, ambulatory care, nutritional support, cancer related psychosocial issues and support, management of cancer symptom and side effects caused by different types of cancer treatment, palliative care and end of life care, long term survivorship and other issues and care related to cancer patients, especially nursing innovations and the research findings in these areas
The journal covers different and up-to-date information which is divided into AONS news, editorial, review, original article, case report, letter to editor, short report, technical notes, nurse education, etc. In particular, APJON will serve as a platform for all oncology nurses from Asia Pacific region to share information in each field of oncology nursing.

Digital Archiving
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Advertisements
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
