As such, it publishes articles on all aspects of the history of agriculture and rural life with no geographical or temporal limits. The editor is particularly interested in articles that address a novel subject, demonstrate considerable primary and secondary research, display an original interpretation, and are of general interest to Society members and other Agricultural History readers. They attend various conferences where they listen to rural and agricultural papers and visit with the presenters. Afterwards they advise the journal staff on the best articles to recruit. On occasion, they also help host social events for the society at these conferences. The associate editors are Barbara Kimmelman, Sara Gregg, Brian Cannon, Anne Marshall, Geoff Cunfer, Pamela Riney-Kehrberg, Anne Effland, Jim Norris, and David B. Danbom. Editorial Board A member of the editorial board reads and reviews every paper submitted to Agricultural History. Their mandate is to assess the relevance of each piece to the society and its members. The members serve a three-year term.
