"The single most indispensable journal in the field of economic and industrial democracy" Edward S Greenberg
ISI Journal Citation Reports Ranking 2003: 13/17 (Industrial Relations & Labor)
Essential reading for all social scientists concerned with organization of the workplace and economic life, Economic and Industrial Democracy explores the new labour market, new work processes, as well as organizational aspects regarding working life and its policy implications. Central themes are the interaction between political, technological and economic factors and various aspects of labour markets, industrial relations and working life.
An emphasis is also placed on international coverage of empirical findings including discussion of the changing social and economic conditions in labour markets, as well as human capital and participation issues, and the enhancement of working life, ranging from micro to macro levels in various countries.

Instructions to Authors
Call for Papers
Prospective authors should send three copies of their contribution to the Editor in a form suitable for anonymous review. Articles should be between 5000 and 10,000 words long. Exceptionally, longer articles may be considered for publication in two or more parts. Authors should prepare an approximately 100-word abstract of their article plus five or six keywords - these should not be words used in the article title. All contributions should be typed and double spaced on A4 paper; any diagrams necessary should be carefully drawn and fully labelled in pencil; captions should appear on a separate sheet. The Editors may alter manuscripts wherever necessary to make them conform to the stylistic and bibliographic conventions of the journal. A copy of the final annotated draft will be sent to the author(s) for approval, before the contribution is set in type. Contributors are asked to pay careful attention to the following important points of detail. Use notes for discursive comments, not for documentation. The Notes and References should be typed, double-spaced on a separate sheet. Notes should be referred to in the text by numerical superscripts. The following sample citations illustrate other aspects of the journal style, and should be closely studied:
