About the journal The present magazine Aquichan (Aquichán) is born as an expression vehicle of the Nursing Faculty of La Sabana University. It is focused towards fostering and promoting theoretical developments on the nursing field as well as the principles and values of our facultys mission.
Aquichan will be a spreading organ for gathering, directing and communicating the academic and research activities of the Faculty. Likewise, it will welcome the thinking expression of teachers, students, alumni and external collaborators willing to share their contributions to the nursing field development by means of scientific and philosophical papers, bibliographical reviews and professional cases and experiences.

Instructions to Authors Every single article is reviewed by the Editorial Committee, which verifies the entire fulfillment of our criteria, registered in these guidelines. The Committee will inform the author/authors if the article does not respond to any of these requirements.
After this first evaluation, documents are sent to a Peer in order to review their scientific and academic quality. Authors’ identity is not revealed to evaluators, neither vice versa. Once the Committee has received External and Internal Academic Peers judgments, it makes a decision that can be one of three: accepting the articles with some adjustments, accepting them definitely, or rejecting them. Aquichan takes 90 days at most to notify the authors.
Once the articles have been accepted and necessary adjustments or arrangements made, they must be corrected, respecting each author’s style. It means that correction is made on form, not on contents.
