About the journal
Revista Comunicar, Scientific issue, is an international publication on education and the media, an open forum for knowing and understanding the new media languages. Its sixteen years of existence have seen it consolidate as a scientific journal at national and international level and it is listed in various international indexing systems such as Thomson Reuters (JCR, SSCI, Social Scisearch), Scopus, Francis and Sociological Abstracts, among others.
Today, it is an established platform of expression open to the participation and collaboration of all those professionals in education and the media interested in this crossover area of “Education and the Media? Each issue centres on a single subject but also includes sections on research, studies, reports, reviews and experiences.

Editorial Board
Grupo Comunicar is a group of teachers and journalists from Andalusia (Spain) who, since 1988, have carried out research, produced teaching materials and instructed teachers, children, teenagers, parents and the population at large in the critical use of the media in order to promote a more just, equal and democratic society and, thus, citizens who are more active and responsible with regard to their interactions with the various communication and information technologies. As a non-profit making body, Grupo Comunicar promotes media literacy through publications, murals and campaigns, among its many activities.
