About the journal
About ACRJ: Aims & Scope

The Asian Case Research Journal's principal objective is to provide case instructors, whether academics, consultants, or company in-house trainers, a selection of high-quality cases on Asian companies and MNCs operating in Asia-Pacific. These cases, not having been previously published, provide a fresh and topical pool of cases for teaching purposes.

The cases are either decisional ¡ª that is, requiring some business decision from the reader ¡ª or illustrative in nature, such as reasons for a firm's success. The cases come from various business disciplines including strategic management, marketing, organizational behavior/human resources, operations management, and MIS. All cases have been double blind refereed to ensure quality. The Journal's Editorial Advisory Board is drawn from a distinguished, international panel of academics, including George Lodge (Harvard), William Naumes (University of New Hampshire), and Pradeep Khandwalla.

The Asian Case Research Journal is dedicated to the understanding of business in Asia. The economies of many Asian countries have been the subject of recent attention, with much of the focus on macro-economic conditions. Yet little is known about the business environment at the micro-level. To this end, information found in the cases on Asian companies and/or MNCs operating in the Asia-Pacific helps to redress this imbalance by showcasing Asian firms and the issues related to doing business in the Asian milieu. Researchers on Asian business will find the Journal a useful resource for understanding Asian companies.

Instructions to Authors
For Authors: Guidelines for Contributors
Editorial Policy
To publish teaching and research cases on Asian firms or multinational corporations (MNCs) operating in Asia, and occasionally case writing/teaching articles. Cases may relate to any business discipline.

Cases may be based on field research or research from secondary sources; they must not be fictional cases. Field research cases should be accompanied by letters of authorization to publish from field organizations.

Teaching cases must be accompanied by teaching notes. Teaching notes should clearly mention the teaching objectives of the case, and provide useful suggestions for how these objectives can be met. Cases should contain sufficient information to be able to meet the objectives. Although teaching notes will not be published, they are crucial to the review process.

Only original cases or articles (not previously published or not simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere) will be reviewed.

Cases and articles will receive a blind review from two reviewers, after an initial editorial review.

Upon acceptance and publication of a case or an article, copyright will be transferred to the Publisher. However, authors will be free to use their own material in other publications written or edited by themselves on prior approval from the Publisher, provided that when they do this, they make proper acknowledgement to the Journal and the Publisher.
