About the journal
AMHP Journal
We've changed our name!
The peer-reviewed monthly journal, Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance (AMHP), formerly Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine, provides contact with physicians, life scientists, bioengineers, and medical specialists working in both basic medical research and in its clinical applications. It is the most used and cited journal in its field. It is distributed to more than 80 nations.
Starting with the January 2015 issue, Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine became Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance. We have a new cover and a whole new look to go with our new name. This change is meant to align the title of the journal more closely with the research and articles we publish.
Instructions to Authors
- Authors and Reviewers: Editorial Manager is the Journal's manuscript submission and review site. There, you will find detailed information on contributor requirements. The journal publishes Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Case Reports, Technical Notes, Commentaries, Historical Notes, Letters to the Editor, and a variety of Features.
- Instructions for Authors: Please read the Instructions for Authors (pdf). Dr. Bonato's presentation about writing manuscripts for the journal can be found here.
- Letters to the Editor: These and other features must be subitted through Editorial Manager.
- Case Reports: For a Case Report template, please click here (pdf document).
- You're the Flight Surgeon/Resident Case Reports, etc.: Send these to Richard Allnutt, M.D. (richard.allnutt@us.af.mil) prior to submission.
