About the journal
Systems biology asserts that crucial insights will emerge from the study of organisms as hierarchical systems or networks in which individual biological components interact in many and complex ways. This is now seen as an invaluable conceptual framework for the advancement of biological understanding and, in particular, for the development of more effective approaches to the treatment of disease.
Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews: Systems Biology and Medicine will have a strong interdisciplinary focus, and will serve as an encyclopedic reference for systems biology research. The articles will discuss biology, methods, and models, and will span systems composed of a few molecules to whole species. The topical coverage of this publication includes:
Developmental Biology; Physiology; Biological Mechanisms; Models of Systems, Properties, and Processes; Laboratory Methods and Technologies; and Translational, Genomic and Systems Medicine.
