Instructions to Authors
The Turkish Journal of Mathematics (Turk. J. Math.) accepts original research articles written in English in the field of mathematics. Only in exceptional circumstances will a review article be considered for publication. Contribution is open to researchers of all nationalities. Authors wishing to submit an article for publication should send their manuscript by our on-line system http://journals.tubitak.gov.tr/ as a LaTex file. Manuscripts must be double-spaced throughout with ample mar- gins. Formulae should be numbered consecutively in parentheses and each manuscript should be accompanied by classification numbers from the American Mathematical Society’s classification scheme. It is a fundamental condition that articles submitted to the Turkish Journal of Mathematics have not been pre- viously published and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. All manuscripts must be accompanied by the Copyright Release Form, which can be found following the Instructions. This form must be completed and signed by all the authors before processing of the manuscript can begin. After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, i.e. after referee-recommended revisions are complete, the authors will not be permitted to make any additions. Note: before publication, the galley proofs are always sent to the authors for correction. Mistakes or omissions that occur due to some negligence on our part during the final printing will be rectified in an errata section of a later issue. However, this does not include those errors left uncorrected by the authors in the galley proofs. 1. Title page The title should be short and informative. The title page should contain: (i) Name of the paper, (ii) Full name(s) of the author(s), (iii) Name and address of the university, labora- tory or institute where the research was carried out, The corresponding author should be clearly indicat- ed with his/her name; full postal address; mobile phone (if applicable) and fax numbers; and e-mail address. 2. Abstract All papers must include an abstract. The abstract should be short and self-contained and all essential points of the paper should be mentioned. 3. References References must be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article and numbered in square brackets. Within the manuscript, cite references by their given number, again in square brackets. Below are some examples: 1. Dunford, N., Schwartz, J.: Linear Operators, Part III. New York-London. Wiley- Interscience 1971. 2. Mackey, G.W.: On induced representations of groups. Amer. J. Math. 73, 576-593 (1951). 3. Vogt, D.: Some result on continuous linear maps between Fréchet spaces. In: Functional Analysis.Surveys and Recent Results III (Eds.: K.D. Bierstedt and B. Fuchssteiner) 349-381, North Holland Math. Studies 90 (1984). 4. Footnotes Footnotes, except for a possible acknowledgement of assistance or financial support on the first page, should be avoided. 5. Tables and Figures All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs, etc.), not including tables, must be labelled "Figure". The correct position of each table and figure must be clearly indicated in the paper. All tables and figures must have a caption and/or legend and be numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1), unless there is only one table or figure, in which case it should be labelled "Table" or "Figure". All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively. All captions and legends must also appear on a separate sheet, double-spaced and labelled according to the relevant table or figure. Tables and figures, including caption, title, column heads, and footnotes, must not exceed 13 x 16 cm. Tables must be clearly typed, each on a separate sheet, and double-spaced. Tables may be continued onto another sheet if necessary but the dimensions stated above still apply. 6. Address math@tubitak.gov.tr or Turkish Journal of Mathematics, TÜBİTAK Akademik Yayınlar Müdürlüğü Atatürk Bulvarı, No: 221, Kavaklıdere, 06100 Ankara, TURKEY
