An International Journal for Theory and Practice of Metallurgy
Aims and Scope
Technical Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade has been publishing the journal called Journal of Mining and Metallurgy since 1965 and it was of a national importance for Yugoslavia. This journal is transformed into an international medium for the publication of work on the theory and practice of mining and metallurgy, under its previous name.

Instructions to Authors
Manuscript preparation
* Language: Papers will be published in English.
* Estimation of length: - for original research works: less then 15 pages together with tables and figures - for review articles: up to 20 pages - for short notices and letters: up to 5 pages - for book reviews: up to 2 pages - for conference announcements: uo to 2 pages
* Keywords: A maximum of six words should be indicated below the abstract.
* Text composition: The article should be prepared by Microsoft Office Word with simple fonts Times New Roman size 12 with single line spacing. The title of the manuscript together with names of authors should be given at the beginning of the text. Affiliation for all authors should be given (first enter the name of the University, then the name of the faculty, the City and Country) and e-mail address (corresponding author must be underlined). Paper should be organized into following sections: Abstract (100 - 200 words), Introduction, Experimental, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References.
* Figures: Illustrations and figures are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. A separate list of figures captions, which makes the figures comprehensible without reference to the text, should be provided in numerical order on a separate page at the end of the manuscript. All figures should be included in TIFF or JPG form (300 DPI resolution) as separate files.
* Tables: Tables are part of the text and should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, but also must be given on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. The tables should be numbered consequently in Arabic numbers. Quantities should be separated from units by a slash (/). Footnotes to tables, in size 10 font, are to be indicated consequently (line by-line) in superscript letters. Tables should be prepared with the aid of the WORD table function, without vertical lines. The minimum size of the font in the tables should be 10 pt. Table columns must not be formatted using multiple spaces. Table rows must not be formatted using Carriage returns (enter key). Tables should not be incorporated as graphical objects. A separate list of table captions, which makes the tables comprehensible without reference to the text, should be provided in numerical order on a separate page at the end of the manuscript. * Reference list: It should be given at the end of the paper and prepared for different types of references, as follows: 1. A. Author, B. Author, J. Min. Metall. Sect. B-Metall., 46 (1) B (2010) 333-343. 2. C. Author, The name of the Book, Publisher, City, 1997, p.123. 3. D. Author, in Handbook (E. Editor), Publisher, City, 1997, p.123-125. 4. E. Author, Proc. V International Symposium of Zinc, Date, City, Country, 1997, p. 567-570.
Reference number should be given through the text in brackets [#]. References in not-English languages should be translated in English, and the original language has to be mentioned in brackets (in Serbian), i.e.
The articles should be submitted using our on-line submission system available at JMMB-online submission.
The articles submitted to the Journal of Mining and Metallurgy Section B: Metallurgy (JMMB) for possible publication will be at first processed under the Editors evaluation. Only the articles which are prepared according to the instructions to authors and within the JMMB scope will be further preceded to the reviewing process. The Editors evaluation can be up to 1 month long.
After the Editors evaluation the articles will be under review. The reviewing process can last from 1 to 3 months. Referees will be invited to review each submission. When their reports have been completed, authors will be informed of the Editor's decision considering the papers' acceptability for publication in the JMM and its required modifications.
The articles that have passed the reviewing process and are accepted will be published in one of the following issues. However, Editor-in-Chief has the last word concerning the issue in which each paper will be published. Also, Editor-in-Chief can, in his sole discretion, decide not to publish a paper. Authors of the papers will have to sign an copyright agreement before the proofs of the papers become available online.
Copyright Notice
All the authors, submitting their work to Journal of Mining and Metallurgy, Section B: Metallurgy (JMMB) for publication, agree to cede the first right to publication and republication in the JMMB.
Cession
- The Author hereby cedes to JMMB, who accepts the cession, to the copyright in and to the paper.
- The purpose of the cession is to enable JMMB to publish the Work, as first publisher world-wide, and for republication in the JMMB Journal, and to grant the right to others to publish the Work world-wide, for so long as such copyright subsists;
- JMMB shall be entitled to edit the work before publication, as it deems fit, subject to the Authors approval;
- The Author warrants to JMMB that:
- the Author is the owner of the copyright in the Work, whether as author or as reassigned from the Author’s employee and that the Author is entitled to cede the copyright to JMMB;
- the paper (or any of its part) is not submitted or accepted for publication in any other Journal;
- the Work is an original work created by the Author;
- the Author has not transferred, ceded, or assigned the copyright, or any part thereof, to any third party; or granted any third party a licence or other right to the copyright, which may affect or detract from the rights granted to JMMB in terms of this agreement.
- The Author hereby identifies the JMMB as a body and its individual members, to the fullest extent permitted in law, against all or any claims which may arise consequent to the warranties set forth.
- No monetary consideration shall be payable by JMMB to the Author for the cession, but JMMB shall clearly identify the Author as having produced the Work and ensure that due recognition is given to the Author in any publication of the Work.
- Should JMMB, in its sole discretion, elect not to publish the Work within 1 year after the date of this agreement, the cession shall lapse and be of no further effect. In such event the copyright shall revert to the Author and JMMB shall not publish the Work, or any part thereof, without the Author’s prior written consent.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
