It is understood that, when submitting a paper, the author confirms that neither the manuscripts nor any part of it has been published or is being considered for publication elsewhere. To save postage copies of rejected manuscripts will not be returned.
Papers should be written in English. Prospective authors not expert in the language are urged to seek proper assistance in this matter before submitting papers. Due to space shortage authors should keep the total length down as far as possible. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to provide a LaTeX file of the paper. It is preferable that figures are provided as postscript files.
In preparing the manuscript the author should follow the style exemplified by recent papers in BIT. For preparation of the LaTeX file a sample article file and BIT stylefiles for LaTeX 2e can be obtained from here: bit2e.cls file sample file
Each paper should contain a short abstract, and a list of key-words. The author should provide a list of subject classifications using AMS categories, as listed in the Annual Index of Math. Reviews. References should be listed in alphabetical order and numbered.
A page charge of $50 per page is normally requested. Payment of page charge is voluntary and in no way affects the publication of present or future papers. If the author makes extensive changes in the proof, he/she must be prepared to pay the extra cost this will imply. The author will obtain 50 reprints free of charge. Extra reprints may be purchased at cost price if ordered on submission of corrected proof.
