Instructions to Authors
Submission of Manuscripts
Beginning 1 January 2007, The Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society (JKMS) receives the papers only through the electronic submission via http://kms.or.kr/home/journal, except for very special circumstances that the JKMS recognizes. This web site provides the standard submission process in steps. This system will ask the author(s) to upload the PDF or PostScript file(s) of the paper. The LaTeX source-file(s) will be needed later when the submitted paper has been accepted for publication in the JKMS.
The TeX source-file should be prepared in a LaTeX format (all styles are acceptable). Other formats are accepted also; however the conversion process by the JKMS may result in 3 to 12 month delay in the printing process. The first page of the manuscript must include (1) the title, that is concise but descriptive and informative, (2) the precise authorship (full names preferred), (3) the abstract, not exceeding 300 words, (4) 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification following the annual index of the Mathematical Reviews, and (5) a list of key-words and/or phrases. The affiliation and/or the address of the authors as well as the e-mail addresses should be included at the end of the manuscript. The items in the reference section should be ordered according to the alphabetical order of the family names of the authors and numbered numerically such as [1], [2],…. Figures or graphics, if included, should be prepared suitable for photographic reproduction. The JKMS prefers graphics produced electronically and compiled in the EPS format.
The JKMS advises the author(s) to retain the LaTeX source-file and any other files related, until the publication process is completed. The JKMS may require the source-file(s) as soon as the submitted paper(s) are accepted for publication in the JKMS.
Proofs
Authors will receive only one set of proofs for correction. No altercations or corrections beyond corrections on minor typographic errors will normally be accepted once the set of proofs is issued.
Offprints
The Korean Mathematical Society announces a change of offprint delivery method for KMS journals. The existing method of delivering paper offprints will be replaced with an electronic delivery in an effort to reduce carbon footprint to protect the environment and to provide authors with permanent access to their articles.
Beginning with the January 2011 issue, only electronic offprints will be available free of charge in the form of a printable and downloadable PDF by logging on to "My submission" on the online submission system following publication, and no paper offprints will be made available.
Correspondences regarding the submitted paper(s) that has been accepted for publication in the JKMS should be directed to:
