About the journal
Test is a journal of statistics and probability, in which the emphasis is placed on papers containing original theoretical contributions of direct or potential value in applications. A volume of about 500 pages is published annually in two parts (June and December).
Test is published, in English, by the Spanish Statistical and Operations Research Society (SEIO). The journal is a transformation of Trabajos de Estadística, which founded by Prof. Sixto Ríos, was published between 1950 and 1991. The former editors were Jos?M. Bernardo, Daniel Peña, Antonio Cuevas and Wenceslao González-Manteiga.
First named authors will receive the pdf version of their papers for obtaining the corresponding reprints.
Instructions to Authors
Submissions should be done in electronic form (pdf format). However, alternative submission can be done by sending four printed copies. Nevertheless, the final form of accepted papers should be written in LaTeX using the macros that can be obtained from
http://personales.unican.es/cofinoa/test/macros/macrotest.html.
The first page of the paper should contain the title of the paper, the authors (including afiliations), the abstract, the key words, a short running title and full addresses of the corresponding author (including e-mail, postal adress, fax and phone).
Illustrations must be in .eps format.
References in the text should include the authors' surnames followed by the year of publication in parentheses. At the end of the paper, the references should be listed in alphabetical order of surnames. Examples for a paper in a journal, a book and a paper in a collective work are:
