Instructions to Authors
Initial submission. A paper may be submitted to any member of the editorial board. Such action is representation by the author that the manuscript has not been copyrighted, published, or submitted elsewhere.
For questions of style, authors are referred to ``A Manual for Authors of Mathematical Papers,' published by the American Mathematical Society. No footnotes may be used except one acknowledging financial support.
Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their paper electronically, as an attachment to an email message. Acceptable formats for electronic submission are: PostScript, pdf, or dvi. The submission should be a single file, with a distinctive name. The information in the body of the email message should include the authors' full names, the full title of the paper, and the format of the attached file.
If electronic submission is not possible, a paper may be submitted by sending two copies, as well as a cover letter which includes an email address (preferred), or, if this is impossible, a FAX number. As few handwritten characters as possible should be used.
Joint Authors The email message or cover letter should specify which author will assume responsibility for correspondence and proofreading.
After acceptance. After a paper is accepted, the Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics would like to receive any computer files associated with the paper. Do not send any materials to the rmmc office until you are contacted by the editorial office. We prefer TeX or LaTeX files(no special style sheet is required) but will gladly accept whatever files you can send. Files can be sent on a PC formatted disk or they may be sent by email to rmmc@asu.edu. If you have figures please send them in both the origional program format and, if possible, in PostScript format. Please make 1 figure per file with no caption (we will insert the caption) and entitle the files fig1.ps, fig2.bmp, etc. so we can easily identify the correct figure numbers. If figure files are unavailable please send original pen and ink or mainframe output. Output from a duplicating machine, such as a Xerox copy, does not reproduce very well.
It is very important that the office be notified of any changes in your email address.
Proofs. All proofing is done by email, if possible, and we cannot use this process without a current email address. Prior to publication a pdf file will be sent to you via email for proofreading. You must have a working email (preferred) or FAX for us to process your paper.
Page Charges. There are no page charges.
