About the journal

The Rendiconti del Seminario Matematico dell'Università di Padova has been published by the Seminario Matematico of the University of Padua since 1930.

Two volumes of approximately 250 pages are published each year and the journal is sent by subscription or under reciprocity to more than 400 mathematics departments and institutes throughout the world.

Editorial Policy

The aim of the Rendiconti is to publish original high quality research articles in mathematics. By tradition the journal focuses on papers in algebra, analysis, algebraic and differential geometry, mathematical physics and number theory. The journal also accepts long papers of foundational character, if they are well-structured and fill a gap in the literature.

Electronic version

The electronic version of all volumes published by the Rendiconti is available here. We acknowledge

Instructions to Authors

Articles presented for publication can be written in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, German or Spanish. A summary in English is required if the paper is not written in English. The manuscript must contain the address for each of its authors.

Authors should prepare figures on a separate sheet in a format double that of the format of the final printed version. The Authors must indicate precisely where the figure should be inserted inside the text.

Authors are expected to correct only typographical errors in the Galley Proofs, the costs of changes to the text, regarding additions or omissions with respect to the original text, will be charged to the Authors.

Two copies of the manuscript should be sent either to the member of the Editorial Board whose research field is closest to the subject of the paper, or to the Editorial Office.

The manuscript must be accompanied by a letter in which the authors declare that the paper has neither been submitted to another Journal, nor will it be before receipt of the answer from the Board of the Rendiconti. If the paper has more than one Author, then the accompanying letter must indicate to which author correspondence should be sent. If an article is accepted for publication, the Authors must waive any right concerning the publication of their article to the Rendiconti in the person of its Editor-in-chief (a waiver form will be sent along with the letter of acceptance). In no case will a manuscript submitted to the Rendiconti be returned to its Author(s).

Electronically-prepared manuscripts.

The Board encourages submission of electronically-prepared manuscripts in Plain-TeX, AMS-TeX or LaTeX. Properly prepared electronic manuscripts reduce the author's proofreading time and accelerate the production process. Papers may be submitted even in postscript or pdf formats, but a TeX source is requested for composition of accepted articles. Files should be submitted either to the member of the Editorial Board whose research field is closest to the subject of the paper, or to the Editorial Office.
