About the journal
The Journal of the American Water Resources Association is dedicated to the publication of original papers that are characterized by their broad approach to water resources issues and high technical quality. It is widely considered to be the outstanding journal devoted to water resources. All papers are refereed prior to publication. The Journal is a bi-monthly publication, beginning with the February issue.
Instructions to Authors
Electronic Submission Guidelines
- For a FIRST SUBMITTAL, name your files _.doc, zip, etc. For submissions (<5MB) please send an email cover letter, and associated documents (manuscript and AWRA forms) in a compressed archive (*.zip) to jawra@awra.org. Click here for information on archiving software.
- If your manuscript and accompanying forms are (>5MB) please send them via our online file upload program. NOTE: To upload a file via the web, please contact us by email (jawra@awra.org) to receive the username and password to access the site.
- AWRA forms requiring signatures (Prior Publication and Copyright) can be scanned in, and sent in electronically or sent in seperately by mail or fax.
- Your paper will be assigned a paper number and you will be sent email with this number. You should expect an acknowledgement of your submittal within 5 working days. The paper number must be referenced in all future correspondence and must be a part of all future file submittals.
- Once assigned a paper number, use it in all file names. Preface each file you submit with an "A" for author: A_.doc, zip etc.
