About the journal

The Journal of Fourier Analysis and Applications began publishing in 1994 as a new mathematical sciences publication devoted to all aspects of Fourier analysis and its applications in science and engineering. Particular emphasis is placed on the interface between theory and scientific applications.
JFAA focuses on results in Fourier analysis as well as applicable mathematics having a significant Fourier analytic component. Because of the extensive, intricate, and fundamental relationships between Fourier analysis and other scientific subjects, select and accessible research-tutorials are included in each issue.
JFAA provides a perspective and means for centralizing and disseminating new information and results from the broad but focused vantage point of Fourier analysis. To ensure its standards of excellence, the editorial board accepts for publication only those manuscripts with the highest level and quality of research. |

The preferred way for submission is to email the following items as attachments to jfaa@tyche.mat.univie.ac.at:
- A short, self-contained abstract, containing no references and, if possible, no mathematical formulas; as a text or LaTeX file. Please include a list of keywords and Mathematical Reviews Classification numbers.
- A LaTeX file of the paper (figures PicTeX or separately as eps-files) or a Postscript file, if this is not too large. If the file is very large or contains a large number of figures, please contact the editorial office before submitting.
Alternatively, mail three copies of the manuscript to:

With the manuscript, please include a brief abstract indicating the subject of the paper and its main results. Also send a list of keywords and Mathematical Reviews Classification numbers. Submission of a paper represents that the paper has not been submitted elsewhere. Standard copyright assignments will be made by authors.
Manuscript Style: Papers must be prepared in some form of TeX, double spaced with consecutively numbered pages. In LaTeX use the Article.sty style. In other versions of TeX use plain vanilla; keep macros to a minimum.
References: References should be double spaced and arranged in alphabetical order at the end of the paper.
Figures: Authors are responsible for providing figures (if any) of suitable quality for reproduction. Each figure should be on a separate page in dense black ink on stiff white paper or as laser proofs.
Reprints: There are no page charges. Authors jointly will receive 25 free offprints. Additional offprints may be ordered prior to publication.
Language: All papers must be submitted in English. The journal will not accept articles written in foreign languages.
