About the journal
The IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis (IMAJNA) publishes original contributions to all fields of numerical analysis; articles will be accepted which treat the theory, development or use of practical algorithms and interactions between these aspects. Occasional survey articles are also published.

Instructions to Authors
Submission of manuscripts.Manuscripts should be sent to one of the two Editors. Electronic submissions are particularly welcomed, and these should be in the form of a single postscript or pdf file. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to provide a LATEX file of the paper, so please bear this in mind when preparing the paper for submission. Further information on this is given below.
Alternatively hard copies can be sent, and in that case four clear copies are required. Authors should also send two copies of any of their own unpublished work to which crucial reference is made in the paper submitted. If, in the opinion of the Editors, a paper is more suitable for one of the other IMA Journals, they may forward it directly to the editors of that journal for consideration, subject to the consent of the authors.
Form of manuscript. The required minimum line spacing in all parts of the manuscript including references is three lines per inch i.e. double the standard line spacing of typewritten text. Only one side of each page should be used in at least one of the copies. The title page should include the name, affiliation and address of each author, and a short abstract. Each section, including the introduction, should be numbered, with equations numbered, for example (2.1), (2.2), etc. in section 2, on the right-hand side of the page. Nonstandard notation should be explained in the text. Footnotes should be avoided. A list of tables and figure captions should be appended to the manuscript.
References. The Harvard system of references, giving the surname of the author(s) and year of publication in the text, should be used. Each listed reference should begin with the authors' surnames followed by initials, the year, and the title of the work. Then, for a journal article, the journal name (abbreviated in accordance with Mathematical Reviews), volume number, and inclusive page numbers should follow, while, for a book, the title, the editor (if applicable), the place of publication, and publisher should be stated.
Copyright/Offprints.It is a condition of publication in the Journal that authors assign copyright to Oxford University Press. This ensures that requests from third parties to reproduce articles are handled efficiently and consistently and will also allow the article to be as widely disseminated as possible. In assigning copyright, authors may use their own material in publications provided that the Journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication, and Oxford University Press is notified in writing and in advance. In consideration of this, the publisher will supply 25 offprints, without covers, of each paper. Further offprints may be ordered at extra cost at the proof stage.
Acceptance of LATEX by the IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis
Authors of accepted papers will be asked to provide the LATEX source files of the paper. In preparing the paper, please use the standard article.cls file and when sending the source file for submission, please ensure that all the macros used to write your paper accompany the manuscript. if you have any questions about the use of this file, please contact jnls.cust.serv@oupjournals.org
Please follow all the usual instructions to authors as detailed above, however, text width should be set to 30 picas (126 mm) and the page depth to 46 picas (195 mm). It is very important to follow the correct referencing system.

Authors may not submit papers that are under consideration for publication elsewhere, and, if an author decides to offer a submitted paper to another journal, the paper must be withdrawn from IMAJNA before the new submission is made.
Supplementary material Manuscripts may include supplementary material to be made available by the publisher as online-only content, linked to the online manuscript. Manuscripts accompanied by online Supplementary material are designated with an 'S' in the Table of Contents in the print edition. For a definition of Supplementary material and guidelines for submitting it click here. Colour reproduction Authors are charged ?50 per figure for colour reproduction, however, some colour figures may be reproduced for free at the discretion of the Editors.
