About the journal
Current Medical Research and Opinion - An established Journal with a growing reputation.
The Journal began publishing in 1972, and continues to build its reputation for the rapid publication and wide dissemination of high-quality medical research and clinical studies.
It is distributed free of charge to medical schools, medical libraries, selected hospitals and research institutes and practitioners throughout the world.
It is available on Subscription to other interested individuals and organisations. All material is published in summary form free of charge on CMRO Online, where access is also available to FastTrack articles and to current and back-issues in full-text format.
Over 5,500 copies of each printed issue are distributed, ensuring that medical researchers and practitioners throughout the world can easily access the contents.
The Journal is also available on the Medscape website, cited in Medline and widely indexed and abstracted. It is also cited by ISI's Science Citation Index, with a 2001 ISI impact factor of 1.61. For further details of CMRO's Distribution and Online presence click here.
Aims and Scopes
Current Medical Research and Opinion is a rapid-publication, peer-reviewed, international journal publishing results of original, evidence-based research on new drugs and therapies, on clinical investigation of existing pharmaceutical preparations and therapies used in current medical practice and on topical coverage of other areas of general medical interest.
Instructions to Authors
Contents and Contributions
Contributions are welcomed in the form of:

Full-length papers reporting original results of laboratory and clinical investigations at all stages of development, and particularly large, multicentre Phase III and IV trials and post-marketing studies. |
|
Material on pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices, including therapeutic diagnostic (theranostic) products and OTC medicines. |
|
All medical areas will be considered, including animal studies (where these have important implications for clinical pharmacology), pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug metabolism, experimental therapeutic studies, and clinical studies at all stages of clinical use. |

Studies with a strong link to clinical practice, both in primary, secondary (hospital) and tertiary (specialist) care settings. |

Clinical pharmacoeconomic studies, clinical outcomes research and managed-care studies. |

Review articles on new and existing drugs and drug classes, therapy areas and topics of general interest. |

Short communication and case study reports. |

From Volume 19, commissioned Book Reviews, Editorial Commentary and topical review articles will be featured.
Submit an Article
Editorial correspondence and manuscripts should be addressed to the most convenient Editorial Office as given below.
To facilitate rapid publication, submissions should be sent electronically to esubmissions@cmrojournal.com as an email attachment (word-processor files with all illustrations and graphics embedded) along with an electronic version of the covering submission letter.
Alternatively, two hard copy printouts of the full manuscript and artwork, the covering letter and a 3?inch PC-compatible diskette containing the corresponding files (including graphic files) may also be sent to the corresponding Editorial Office.

Special Issues and Supplements
Special Issues and Supplements are also published and actively encouraged. These include in-journal and free standing supplements based on symposia proceedings (or sponsored workshops and meetings).
Collected articles on specific topics (focussing on therapies for a particular disease area, on drug types for a particular disease, or therapies with multiple disease applications) are also invited and commissioned.
Enquiries from potential Guest Editors, meetings organizers and potential sponsors are welcomed.
