Behavioural Pharmacology publishes research papers which study the ways in which behavior is affected by any aspect of pharmacology. This encompasses such topics as drug, chemical and hormonal effects on behavior and resultant behavior methods for the study of drug action. Speed of publication is a major feature of the journal with all papers published within two months of acceptance.

Preparing Your Paper
Each journal published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins maintains a set of author guidelines. Determine which journal your paper would best be suited for and then visit the journal web site to obtain specific guidelines for submissions to that journal.
If you want to write for a nursing journal, Most of the editorial information you need to submit a paper or article to a nursing journal is available at NursingCenter.com. If you are specifically interested in submitting a paper to Nursing or Physician Assistant, you can obtain author guidelines here. Or, you can visit The Online Nursing Editor's web page, an index of nursing journal and book editors, designed specifically for nursing authors and editors by the Nurse Author & Editor publication.

Submitting Your Paper
Before submitting your paper, review the author guidelines for instructions on sending topic queries -- correspondence to find out if the editors are interested in your ideas. You can send this correspondence to multiple journals at once.
Once you receive a positive response to your query, submit your article or paper with a cover submission letter to the appropriate journal. Find the contact information on the journal web site or check the front matter of the journal. When the editor has received your submission, you will be sent a letter of acknowledgement. Most submissions will be presented to an editorial review panel or to the editorial board of the journal. If your paper is selected for publication, you will receive notification from the journal editorial staff and possibly with reviewers' comments. Note: Rejected manuscripts will NOT be returned except upon advanced author request and including a SASE.
