Instructions to Authors
The Annales de l' I. H. P., Probabilités et Statistiques is an international Journal publishing original articles in French or in English. The Journal publishes papers of high quality representing different aspects of the theory of stochastic processes, mathematical statistics and related fields. Manuscripts may be sent to the secretary of the Journal* or directly to any member of the Editorial Board.
Three copies of every submitted paper should be sent to the Journal. Papers may be written in French or in English. The authors give their name and first name below the title, together with their current affiliation and address. In order to facilitate communication, the authors should also provide a fax number and/or an e-mail address.
Articles should begin with a summary explaining the basic points developed in the article. For papers in English, the authors should provide the translation in French of this summary and of the title. The Editorial committee will supply the translation if necessary. The authors of articles in French are invited to submit an English abridged version of their paper containing the statment of the main results.
References should be numbered, referring to the bibliography giving for each reference the name of the author followed by his initials, the title of the publication, the name of the Journal, the year, the volume, the pages of the article, and in the case of a book, the editor, the place and year of edition.
Figures should be drawn on separate sheets. An excellent quality is requested so that the figures can be reproduced without modification. The place at which they will be inserted should be indicated in the margin of the manuscripts.
Papers accepted for publication are considered as ne variatur. Authors receive one set of proofs, which should be sent back to the secretary of the Journal within one week. A charge may be made for any excessive correction other than those due to typographical errors.
The publication of articles is free in charge. 50 free reprints are supplied for every published paper.
The authors are encouraged to prepare their manuscripts using PlainTeX, LaTeX or AMSTeX. If this is the case, when the paper has been accepted for publication and the last corrections have been made, the authors will send both a hard copy of the final version and a diskette containing the corresponding file, together with any needed file of Macros. Do not send diskettes when submitting papers and do not send files by e-mail.
