Detailed instructions for authors
The Editorial Process/The Executive Editors
1. The Executive Editor, Robert W. Quackenbush, will be notified of your submission, and will select a member of the Editorial Board who will be in charge of your article (taking into account your stated preference, if any).
2. Once you have an Editor, you correspond with the Editor using Editorial Manager. If you have any problems, please write to Brian A. Davey at
AU@latrobe.edu.au
whose job is to make sure that
a) the paper be handled in an expeditious manner;
b) once the paper is accepted, the LaTeX version be correct.
3. The accepted papers are handled by Craig Platt. He steers the papers to proofs and then inclusion in an issue of algebra universalis.
Open Choice
In addition to the normal publication process (whereby an article is submitted to the journal and access to that article is granted to customers who have purchased a subscription), Open Choice now provides an alternative publishing option. An Open Choice article receives all benefits of a regular “subscription-based” article, but in addition the full text is made available publicly through the journal’s online platform SpringerLink immediately after publication.
To publish via Open Choice upon acceptance of your article, please complete the relevant order form and provide the required payment information. Payment must be received in full before publication or articles will be published as a regular subscription-model article.
Online First
The Online First service lets users access peer reviewed and accepted articles well before print publication (i.e., a few days after the return of the corrected galley proofs). These articles are searchable and citeable by their DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and hence significantly reduce the time it takes for critical discoveries to reach the research community.
