About the journal
Art News New Zealand is published on paper four times a year and is sold through book and magazine shops and galleries nationwide. If you would prefer receiving the magazine in the mail, an annual subscription costs from $NZ37. You can print a subscription form from this site.
Art News is an essential read for anyone interested in the arts. News, reviews, artist profiles and interviews, artist's studios, exhibition listings - each magazine is packed full - and we don't use art speak.
This site is designed to introduce you to the publication and to whet your appetite!
Art News is pleased to announce that our contributing writer Sue Gardiner won 2007 Qantas Media Award for Best Feature Writer - Arts category. Sue won for her feature - The New Visionaries in the Autumn 2006 issue.
Instructions to Authors
Submission Guidelines
Art News Magazine is compiled on Mac in InDesign.
All adverts MUST come in one of the following formats:
o Pdf's (preferred) Press Resolution.
o Freehand eps. All fonts converted to outline and CMYK images.
o Illustrator eps. All fonts converted to paths and CMYK images.
All images to be CMYK, 300dpi saved as tifs or eps.
Finished ads can be supplied on CD or emailed.
A hard copy proof must accompany disc for proofing.

o Maximum file size 14MB
o Please ensure all images are CMYK
o A hard copy proof must be posted as well.
NO PUBLISHER OR COREL DRAW FILES NB.
Material received outside these specifications will incur a production charge to translate to correct format.
