Instructions to Authors Submissions:
Articles
Articles submitted to Arthuriana should present original scholarship likely to be of long-term value. All contributors must be members in good standing of one of the national branches of the International Arthurian Society. Work that will soon be published in essentially the same form as part of a book should not be submitted. We require an exclusive right of refusal: you must agree to submit your article exclusively to Arthuriana until an editorial decision is reported to you (usually within three months and sometimes sooner).
If you wish us to consider your article, submit it in 3 copies, with only the cover letter identifying you as the author. We follow a double-blind peer review: the author's identity is not known to the reader evaluating the article, and the author does not know the identity of the reader. Submissions should be accompanied by a cover page that includes the title of the article and the name and address of the author. The article should include only its title, not the name of its author. An author must avoid self-identification in the argument or documentation of the article.Use the journal Style Guide to format your article. It is helpful as a supplement to the hard copies for authors submit articles by e-attachment in MS Word or RTF. Hard copies of articles will not be returned.
Book Reviews
We do not accept unsolicited reviews. We review books on all Arthurian subjects, and on a broad range of medieval subjects. Books for review should be sent to the journal offices. If you would like to review books for the journal, please send your C.V. and list of reviewing fields to Jo Goyne, Book Reviews Editor at the journal ( jgoyne@smu.edu ).
