Romance Quarterly is a peer-reviewed journal that welcomes manuscripts and book reviews concerning topics based in the study of the Romance languages. Executive Editor Dr. Anibal Biglieri is a professor of Spanish medieval literature in the department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Kentucky. He also serves as the director of undergraduate studies. His most recently published book is
Medea en la literatura espa˜nola medieval (La Plata: Fundaci´on Decus, 2005).
Manuscripts for submission, books for review, and letters concerning editorial matters should be addressed to: Editor, Romance Quarterly , 1115 Patterson Office Tower, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky 40506-0027, USA. Manuscripts should be no more than twenty double-spaced pages with one-inch margins. Include on the first page contact information, an abstract, and three to five keywords. In matters of style, the MLA Style Manual , 3rd ed., should be followed.

As an author, you are required to secure permission if you want to reproduce any figure, table, or extract from the text of another source. This applies to direct reproduction as well as “derivative reproduction” (where you have created a new figure or table which derives substantially from a copyrighted source).
Illustrations. Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be clean originals or digital files. Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines: 300 dpi or higher; sized to fit on journal page; EPS, TIFF, or PSD format only; submitted as separate files, not embedded in text files.
Color Illustrations. Color art will be reproduced in color in the online publication at no additional cost to the author. Color illustrations will be also considered for print publication; however, the author will be required to bear the full cost involved in color art reproduction. Color reprints can only be ordered if print reproduction costs are paid.
Print Rates : $900 for the first page of color; $450 per page for the next three pages of color. A custom quote will be provided for articles with more than four pages of color. Art not supplied at a minimum of 300 dpi will not be considered for print.
Proofs. Page proofs are sent to the designated author using Taylor & Francis’ Central Article Tracking System (CATS). They must be carefully checked and returned by the specified due date.
Reprints and Issues. Authors for whom we receive a valid e-mail address will be given an opportunity to purchase reprints of individual articles, or copies of the complete print issue. These authors will also be given complimentary access to their final article on
Taylor & Francis Online .
Romance Quarterly does not accept responsibility for views expressed in articles, reviews, and other contributions that appear in its pages. It provides opportunities for the publication of materials that may represent divergent ideas and opinions.
