BRIEF NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS
The Musical Times is a quarterly print journal that considers for publication articles on a wide variety of subjects pertaining to ¡®classical¡¯ music. Submitted manuscripts may be of up to 6000 words in length and a recent issue should be consulted for matters of house style. Kindly note that manuscripts requiring extensive editorial work will not be considered.
Acceptance of an article is conditional upon the author¡¯s being able to provide all illustrative material and, prior to publication, having obtained permission for reproduction of all copyright items, made any necessary payments incurred thereby and provided accurate captions for the purposes of acknowledgment.
Accepted articles must be supplied by email or on CD in any of the standard formats (text as Word, Appleworks, Quark; illustrations as pdf, tiff, jpeg). Musical examples should be submitted as Sibelius files if possible. Proofs of accepted articles will be sent to authors for correction but please note that all editorial decisions are final.
Articles you wish us to consider for publication should, preferably, be emailed to the editor at mted@gotadsl.co.uk or sent to him at 7 Brunswick Mews, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 1HD, UK. We shall endeavour to reach a decision as soon as possible.
