Instructions to Authors
Author Guidelines
MFS invites the submission of articles (6,000-9,000 words) offering historical, interdisciplinary, theoretical, and cultural approaches to modern and contemporary narrative. Authors should submit three paper copies of the manuscript. Because essays are evaluated anonymously, the author's name and address should appear only on the cover sheet of the manuscript; the cover sheet should list author's name, essay title, mailing address, phone number, and email address. Documentation format should include internal citation, endnotes, and full Works Cited in accordance with the latest edition of the MLA Style Manual. MFS welcomes the submission of illustrations. Photocopies are acceptable for first review, but high quality glossy print or camera-ready reproductions should accompany the accepted version of the manuscript. Authors are responsible for obtaining copyright permissions.
