The JEA is a leading international journal for the publication of Egyptological research. The journal publishes scholarly articles (main articles and brief communications), fieldwork reports, and reviews of Egyptological books. It is published annually, towards the end of the subscription year (usually January). Category 1 members of the Society receive the Journal each year as part of their subscription.
Instructions to Authors
Submission of Manuscripts
Prospective contributors should submit copies of their manuscripts in a form suitable for refereeing, editing and typesetting according to the JEA Guidelines for Contributors posted below. Submitted manuscripts are subject to anonymous refereeing. Accepted manuscripts are then revised by contributors for final submission. Manuscripts submitted by January in a given year will ordinarily appear in the JEA for that year, subject to successful completion of the refereeing process, timely submission of final manuscript, and remaining availability of space in the journal. The editors reserve the right to hold over a manuscript to the following edition of the journal according to circumstance.
Details for manuscript submission and house style can be found in the JEA Guidelines for Contributors (version 2.0, pdf posted 25-02-2009).
