International Studies in Philosophy (ISSN 0270-5664) is a peer-reviewed journal published four times each year by the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Philosophy, Interpretation, and Culture, at Binghamton University. The journal is concerned with questions that cannot be addressed from the standpoint of a single discipline. The Spring and Fall issues include articles and reviews exploring the ways in which cultural forms of knowledge and expression shape human practices and experience. Of particular importance are recent developments in history, theory, and practice that promise to stretch the boundaries of philosophy and transform the discipline: post-critical continental philosophy; feminist philosophy; gay, lesbian, and queer studies; multicultural studies, postcolonial theory, and critical race theory; critical social theory; and cultural critique, including aesthetic, representational, and ecological practices. The Summer issue is composed of papers delivered to the North American Nietzsche Society. The Winter issue is composed of papers selected from the annual conference on Philosophy, Interpretation, and Culture at Binghamton University.
The Philosophy Documentation Center will soon provide electronic access to International Studies in Philosophy with a subscription. All issues from volume 6 (1974) to the present are in production, and approximately 40 issues are now available.
