One of the benefits of SCMS membership is a subscription to JCMS. Information on the benefits of individual and institutional membership can be found on the SCMS website. JCMS is partnered with several film and media online journals and sites to offer supplemental content corresponding to each issue: JCMS Teaching Dossier, Afterthoughts and Postscripts, Conference Reports in Partnership with Antenna, In Focus Partnership with In Media Res, [in]Transition, and the podcast JMCS Presents Aca-Media. JCMS is a member of CELJ, the Conference of Editors of Learned Journals. It is indexed in Academic Search Premier, Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Film Literature Index, IBR (International Bibliography of Book Reviews), IBZ (International Bibliography of Periodical Literature), International Index to Film Periodicals, and MLA Bibliography and abstracted in Academic Search Premier and Extended Academic Abstracts.   Instructions to Authors To be considered for review, manuscripts should be 8,000–12,000 words long (including notes), should follow the format specified by The Chicago Manual of Style (17th Edition), and should be double-spaced. Frame enlargements or other illustrative materials must be supplied by authors, who are responsible for obtaining permission to publish them in cases where Fair Use does not apply. Digital frame grabs should have a minimum resolution of 250–300 dpi. JCMS ONLY accepts electronic submissions. If for some reason you cannot submit electronically, please contact the editor directly. Please note that JCMS does NOT accept manuscripts in PDF format. Submitted manuscripts should give no indication of the author’s identity. Articles are anonymously refereed by specialist readers. All referee comments are returned to authors.
